Lineage

The Threshold Society has emerged from a distinguished lineage going back all the way to Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi in thirteenth century Anatolia. His encounter with Shams of Tabriz led to Rumi’s ecstatic poems of his love for the Divine and the birth of the Mevlevi Order.
