Ya Ghani, Ya Mughni

Each seed
knows
its own name.
Embedded
in the DNA
is its whole history
of loving—
who is matched
with whom,
and who descended—
in cascading
realms of servanthood
of the One
through whom we are related,
manifesting the riches
by which we grow—
which are our birthright
as seeds of Your Being,
Ya Ghani, Ya Mughni,
O You Who Are Rich,
and Enrich us all!
Along the way, we unfold
with blue eyes, gray,
green, or brown, and yet
the capacity to see is always Yours.
And even one born blind
knows by heart
the sound of Your Voice
and can recognize
the kindred of the Soul
by the vibrancy
that awakens the skin
even of the deaf.
Yes, turn and turn again;
spiraling
through the language
of our Source.
We dance in Your air
loved by Love Itself.
Ya Basir, Ya Sami, Ya Wadud.

~ Camille A. Helminski “Love’ville” 2016

Ya Ghani, Ya Mughni, O You Who Are Rich, O Enricher of us all,
Ya Basir, O You Who Are All-Seeing, Ya Sami, O You Who Are All-Hearing,
Ya Wadud, O Infinitely Loving One!
