Ya Jabbar, Ya Mutakabbir, Ya Wadud, Ya Hakim

O You Who Compel Us
towards ultimate greatness,
You Who Are Supreme
in knowing and love,
You knit us together
by bone
and by vibration,
restoring hearts
and limbs
that have been wounded.
Sometimes we trip,
and fall
in our wanderings—
bring us home
to Your Love.
Intertwine us with Your Will
in the best resonance
that rearranges all our cells
and our relations.
The sound of Your Voice
through us heals us;
the water of our being
is stirred to realign
with Your Word,
You Who Are the Knowing Healer,
Ya Hakim.

~ Camille A. Helminski “Love’ville” 2016

Ya Jabbar, O Compelling One,
Ya Mutakabbir, O You Who Are Supreme,
Ya Wadud, O Infinitely Loving One,
Ya Hakim, O All-Wise, Knowing Healer

God is He/She other than Whom there is no god,
Who knows what is hidden and what is manifest;
Hu, the Infinitely Compassionate, the Infinitely Merciful.
God is He/She other than Whom there is no god,
the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace,
the Inspirer of Faith, the Preserver of Security,
the Exalted in Might, the Compelling, the Supreme:
Glory to God,
Who is subtly amazing, beyond the partners they attribute to Him—
He/She is God, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms.
To
Hu belong the Most Beautiful Names:
whatever is in the heavens and on earth
declares His/Her Praises and Glory,
and He/She is the exalted in Might, the All-Wise.
